Stone and Water

Water has shaped this landscape for thousands of years. Cliffs, boulder fields and scattered mountain birches surround Njupeskär, where the river leaves the plateau and descends into the valley below. These photographs follow the meeting between moving water and enduring stone, captured during the brief transition from summer to autumn in the Scandinavian mountains.
